mp4 Contents

A number of weeks ago I came across a vendor that deals in “MP4” players. These are small “Nano” sized units that come in varying capacities from 1gb up to 4gb. I could not help but to think that I saw these somewhere else before…that’s because it looks just like an iPod Nano.

The stainless steel case comes in several colors (guess which ones) and features a 1.8” display and round navigation wheel. Some may call this item a knock off. A low cost, low feature product used to bait someone into thinking they are getting a better deal. Once I had some hands on time, I realized this was far from the truth.

Saitek's redesigned Eclipse Keyboard offers tricolor illumination to brighten up your desktop. Backlighting is selectable via a push button on the unit. The default color is blue and is selectable to red or purple. The controls also offer a dimmer switch.

Unboxing

The box contains the keyboard, wrist rest, usb cable, and the user guide. Software is not include. The box states the unit is compatible with windows 2000, XP and XP64. No mention of Vista compatability has been added to the box listing.

I continued onto Saitek's website looking for more up to date information. Saitek did not list the unit as Vista compatable either. The support pages also do not have any mention of Vista. The complete lack of information is rather puzzling; however, this unit does not require special drivers under XP. This unit may not need one in Vista either.
